Project Assistant + Housing Specialist

Karen joined Digney York Associates in November 2017, bringing an extensive background in Real Estate, Interior Design, Management, Customer Service, and Residential Construction. As the Housing Specialist for Digney York, Karen oversees the housing for Digney, including establishing and managing all aspects of housing for Digney York Superintendents and the subcontractors assigned to Digney’s coast-to-coast interior renovations.

Before joining Digney, Karen maintained a successful career as a Realtor and Relocation Specialist while owning and operating a successful Home Staging and Interior Design company. As the Area Director for a U.S. State Department designated global cultural exchange program, Karen managed her A.D. role of mentoring au pairs from around the world while facilitating the requirements of the J-1 Visa designation and working as a liaison between the agency, host families, and au pairs.

Karen is an enthusiastic and dedicated team member who appreciates and values her colleagues, enjoys building new client relationships and managing the challenges and opportunities each project brings.

When not working, Karen enjoys spending time with her family, diving into the next DIY design project, and engaging in as many outdoor activities as possible.  She also enjoys cheering on all teams D.C.  Raised an Army Brat and Nova native, Karen supports favorite charities such as Wreaths Across America at Arlington National Cemetery and others soldering the fight against Alzheimer’s and Dementia.
